Today’s Bible Reading: Exodus 28-30

Today’s Devotional: Exodus 28:1-30

A memorial

Exodus 28:5-14 The High Priest would wear stones memorialized. Who and how it is that God’s people come before a Holy and righteous God. That on the shoulders, by the completed perfect sacrifice of the High Priest, the children of Israel are then allowed to come to come before God in worship another year.

Christ carries as High Priest the Church collectively, as we have a permanent access to the Lord.

Exodus 28:15-30 the High Priest carries the children of Israel individually over his heart, and carries the Urim and Thummim, where the personal and collective problems of the fellowship would be addressed.

Christ carries us individually within His heart and the Holy Spirit speaks with clarity to and from the heart of the individual.

We can go to Christ our High Priest with every problem whether they be collective or individual and we can accept His decisions and directions because they are brought forth from His heart. Whether we think His decisions are pleasant or unpleasant they all come from His heart which speaks of His love for us. Because He bares us on His shoulders and by His perfect and completed sacrificial work on the cross we are accepted into relationship with God.
