Today’s Devotional: 1 Kings 8:1-9

The Ark, the presence of God brought into dwell in the midst of Israel.

God’s heart and desire is to dwell in us and in the midst of our situations and circumstances. The creator of the universe desires to walk through our life with us, and to talk with us.

The same place where we met God at when we accepted the price which Jesus paid in order to redeem everyone and everything back to Himself, is the same place where we find an meet Him to allow Him into our present situation’s; it’s at the Cross, where we give Him our desires, choices, and how we would handle the situation in our own strength and with our own wisdom or from someone or something else’s ways and we just self-humble ourselves below the ways and wisdom of the Lord and ask Him for His wisdom and understanding in the situation. Once we’ve done this we don’t leave, but we stay there at the Cross and continue to grow and understand from Christ what it is to lay down what we want or what we know from the eternal plan and wisdom the He has in our situations and circumstances.

The best way to learn who God is and to understand how He works, and what is important to Him is by getting into His Word which He holds very High. It’s so important to Him that it’s the only thing that was inside the Ark.

Just as Solomon and Israel had to do, we also have to decide to have the presence of God brought into everything in our lives. The Lord has constructed and completed a work in our lives and the design of our creation, but we still have to decide to bring Him in. A life with out the presence of God is a life just like the Temple that is void of it’s Identity because it doesn’t have the identity of Christ in it and in every situation. If we want to understand who we are and what is truly happening in situations an circumstances around us we must go to the Cross and let Jesus into them. We do this just by sitting with Him and then He does all the work.
