Today’s Devotional: 1 Chronicles 3:1-9

As with any family and any father, the desire is to see their children to be like them and have their same heart. As Christians, having a heart and desire to not see the things which carry our attention away from the things of the Lord consume our time, energy, and focus; we should have the same desire to model for our children and those who may look up to us. A big question that as men and also women, but specifically addressing men we should be cautious about what our daily and larger goals and activities are modeling for others. Those who look on and into our lives where do they see life’s most important direction and focus should be?

Do others see God’s eternal desire for our life as our primary focus?

Do others see a repentant heart in our lives? That when the Holy Spirit reveals to us through the Word what is contrary to Him, that we turn from that and ask Christ to give us a new heart after Him one which He works in our lives as we sit and grow through being in His Word.
