Today’s Devotional: 1 Chronicles 27:1-15

The children of Israel were not like the other nations around them who would have mercenaries or slaves fight their battles for them. Israel didn’t rely on intercessory mercenaries to remove distractions and what would enslave them instead of them experience the freedom God desired for them in His promised land to them.

This is the same for our lives, our relationship and trust in Jesus is personal with no intercessor between us and Jesus because He is our intercessor to the throne room of God, by His Blood. The Lord desires for His work in our lives to be personal where He removes the distractions and those things which enslave us instead of experiencing a dynamic and real relationship with Him in a Spirit filled life. There is no one who can choose for us to allow God to work in our lives, we have to make that choice, but when we do we have others Believers then who have made this same choice to come along side as we all seek to allow the Lord to remove things in our life which take priority over Him.
