Today’s Devotional: 2 Samuel 23:1-4

The individual who God raises up is one who keeps God’s Word always on their lips and as Paul wrote to the Ephesians 5:19, speaks to one another with song, hymn, and spiritual songs, that we speak to one another with great encouragement, joyfulness, and rejoicing for who God is and what He has done. Also we see in Ephesians 4:25 to speak truthfully to one another, Paul in Ephesians 4:25 is quoting Zechariah 8:16 where the Truth from God’s Word was to be the standard by which decisions, what is right, and peace were to come from and where Truth originates.

The Lord’s desire is for His children and all those who serve Him to work in their life to walk justly before Him and others in all that we do and say. That everything is grounded in respect and reverence of God and an understanding of who He is and that it’s from the Lord which all things come.

The reason why the Lord works and desires this in our life is because He desires our life to be like a light to others, giving an example of navigating and how to navigate life for others to see, test, and compare the difference in their own life of their walk with or without the Truth of God’s Word and supremacy of Him in each of our lives, what the difference is. What people see then is that there is a life with clarity and with out confusion that the Lord desires. There is a new life to be had in Jesus Christ which begins and starts to show like the tender grass as it first starts to sprout as it receives the proper nutrition which comes only from the Lord, it then grows into the desire which the Lord has and it is only display through us of His great work.
