Today’s Bible Reading: 2 Chronicles 5-7

Today’s Devotional: 2 Chronicles 5:1-10
Keeping to the commands and heart of the Lord in what ever He calls us into or to step out into. Solomon received the calling, instruction, and wisdom from the Lord; then Solomon had to make a choice of whether he was going to be obedient to the Lord and His desires. In any situation or decision we have to make, the choice or decision we have to make is very simple. We either decide to walk forward and step-out according to the heart and character of the Lord and how we’ve learned His character and who He is from His Word.
So we step out into the calling the Lord has on our life in agreement with and in obedience to His Heart and Word in the matter. We also bring others along with us as we step-out. We seek to include others in the work, enjoyment, and celebration of what the Lord has done and what we’re expectant that He will do. This isn’t only in the celebrations, but also in our trials and difficulties that we may be facing, so that we can be prayed for and strengthened.
The celebration was also conducted within the parameters of how the Lord prescribed it to be done, none of those who were invited and who attended sought to take attention away from the Lord and what He had completed.
And Solomon sought to communicate to the whole nation how important the Lord is and to be an example to the nation of the place and priority the Lord should fill in each individuals life.
